Dr. Dimitrios Papadopoulos is an Applied Developmental Psychologist and certified Cognitive-Behavior Therapist (CBT), and currently works as an Adjunct Lecturer of Developmental Psychology in the Department of Psychology at the University of Crete.

He is also the Director of a nonprofit organization unit with a focus on promoting mental health and well-being across the lifespan.
He holds a Ph.D. in School and Developmental Psychology from the South-West University "Neofit-Rilski". He received his MSc in Social Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina and his BSc in Psychology from the Department of Psychology, University of Crete. Prior to his doctoral studies, Dr. Papadopoulos worked as school psychologist in the Ministry of Education and further as child development expert in private mental health settings treating individuals with ASD and children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral problems and their families.

My research interests include gifted children’s development, mental health and well-being across the life course, and autism spectrum disorders and intervention programs.
